Reaction Time Test
Wait for the box to turn green, then click, tap or press Space as fast as you can. 5 tries, then your average.
Reflexes are half of it
In a reaction test you wait for a signal that comes when it wants. In HopSprint you see the landing coming and press right on it: timing, not just speed. Race a frog, a rabbit or a cricket across 20 pads; press too early and it gets stunned.
Play HopSprintWhat is a good reaction time?
On a test like this one, most people average somewhere between 200 and 300 milliseconds. Under 200 is quick. Practice helps a little; being tired or distracted costs more. The fairest comparison is with yourself: take the test on the same device and watch how your average moves.
Questions
Why five tries?
One try can be luck either way. The average of five shows your usual speed, and the list shows how steady you are.
What if I press too early?
That try doesn’t count, and a new wait starts. The wait is random, between one and a half and four seconds, so counting it out doesn’t work.
Does my phone or computer change my time?
A little. The time runs from the moment the green frame is drawn to the moment the browser receives your press, so the screen, the mouse or touch screen and the browser all add a small delay. Compare your scores on the same device.
Is it free?
Yes. It runs in your browser, with nothing to install and no sign-up. Your best average stays in this browser only.
