What stays in your browser

HopSprint has no accounts and no sign-up. Your best run on each course, the mascot you picked, your best reaction time and how many races you have started are kept in this browser's local storage. Your runs never leave your device; analytics (below) gets the mascot and the race count. Clearing the site's data removes them all.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, so we can improve the game. It records the pages you visit and how play goes: races started and finished and how many this browser has played, the course number, the mascot, the finish time and how far it is from a perfect run, perfect hops, stuns and the average wait after landing; reaction tests finished with their average, and presses before green. Google also records your browser, device type and approximate location, and uses cookies to tell visits apart.

Hosting

The site is delivered by Amazon Web Services. Like any web server, it handles your IP address and browser details to send you the pages. We do not keep access logs.

The game itself sets no cookies. The cookies on this site come from Google Analytics, as described above.
